Thermal Therapy & Radiant Sauna

The Soft Heat Radiant Sauna enables one to experience relaxation and exhilaration as well as the health and fitness benefits of thermal therapy. The body is thoroughly cleansed and muscle aches disappear. Radiant heat therapy improves blood circulation and can relieve symptoms for many musculo-skeletal problems including arthritis, rheumatism, and sciatica.

Dry saunas have two advantages over steam rooms.

  1. They help rid the body of toxic metals picked up from the environment. Although the kidneys take out many of these toxins a daily sweat can help reduce the body’s accumulation of lead, mercury, nickel, cadmium, sodium, sulfuric acid and cholesterol.
  2. The sauna also assists in fat loss. It places a greater demand on the heart, forcing it to work harder to send more blood to the capillaries under the skin and this means the body uses more calories

Radiant heat is a natural form of energy that heats objects directly without having to heat the air in between. An every day example of radiant heat (also called infra—red) is the warmth we absorb from the sun. When you stand in the sun on a cold but sunny day the warmth penetrates right through your clothing. In the shade you feel colder even though the air temperature is the same.

Soft heat means lower, non-suffocating air temperatures and a deeper penetrating heat than most conventional saunas. You will find the air comfortable to breathe and the heat warm and gentle, not harsh and dry. These results come from the use of ceramic radiant heaters built into the walls.

These saunas are used by doctors, physical therapists and professional athletes to treat muscle injury and strains. Hospitals use them to warm new born babies. They are low cost, energy efficient and laboratory tested.
